  • Thanks for the pointer - after some further digging, I followed the brew installation process at https://github.com/adrianmihalko/ch340g-ch34g-ch34x-mac-os-x-driver, and after a reboot it now works as expected.

  • I have the same problem on NodeMCU module - are the multiple versions? How can one check the amount of flash and/or RAM on module one has? I am running mos on Ubuntu 14.04.
