I would like to know if the libraries written in c for Arduino and ported to esp8266 still working for mongoose os for example IR library dedicated to infrared my objectif is to build an IR blaster
We have started arduino compatibility support, our goal is to have arduino libs working as-is under mOS. just try to build them, let us know of any issues.
How is this effort going? getting arduino libs working that is?
That is a long effort. Arduino API is big, and more of it we cover, more drivers start to work. Now we're finishing one-wire API.
I agree. When you figure out how to incorporate the arduino API (including 3rd party libs) and keep mos simplicity then you'll have the best of both worlds. mos bundles all the networking infrastructure to take a prototype into production (quite well I might add). Its this stuff that the arduino/open source community struggles with simplifying (mqtt, OTA, json parse, file system, JS, layered config, etc).
Keep going, I'll keep a watch on your progress here and will help you were I can. Just let me know.
Is there any news about supporting Arduino's IR library? thanks.
