NodeMCU ESP8266 - DHT11 issue

Is the new library api_dht.js working properly with DHT11 sensor? Tried several times, with diferent codes without any success. Also tried with projet example "example-dht-js" and got the same error in this post https://forum.mongoose-os.com/discussion/1544/iot-kit-esp8266-latest-issue-for-using-api-dht-js

Simple direct conection in NodeMCU pin 5, using pullup resistor.

Any tips or ideas?

    Hello...I recently updated my devices with a newer version of my code, and I used Arduino 1.8.5 with newer libraries to ensure I have the latest and best. Same devices, same code. I immediately started getting a lot of NAN returned by the DHT library, and my devices skip roughly 15-20% of the reading cycles as a result.
