When you make a http query using the ip address seems that the passed IP address is beeing used to name resolution...
It seems that the name resolution logic does not identify an IP address and try to resolve it ...
I can second this. Right now we have to deploy to the dev server every time we want to test a code change. It's highly counter-productive.
Tried creating a local DDNS running on the router to no avail. Is there any other way to get IP addresses to work, or e.g. something akin to a hosts file in this OS to "trick" it into routing to a LAN IP?
I came up with a workaround. I added a subdomain to my main domain and had it point to a local IP address.
